This policy explains what information Zdrones Florida (“Zdrones”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use zdronesfl.com or hire us for a video production, what we do with it, and what control you have over it.
We are a video production company based in Sarasota, Florida, serving businesses from Sarasota to Tampa Bay. You can reach us at zdronesfl@gmail.com or 941-248-8311.
Information you give us
When you fill in the quote form on our contact page, we collect the name, email address, phone number and project details you enter. We use these only to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and carry out work you book with us. We do not sell this information and we do not share it with anyone outside the parties listed below.
If you call, text or message us on WhatsApp, we keep the conversation and the number you contacted us from for the same reasons.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site or advert that referred you. This is collected through the following services:
- Google Analytics 4 — measures how the site is used so we can improve it. It records page views and, when you click a phone, SMS or WhatsApp link or submit the quote form, that an enquiry took place.
- Google Ads — when you arrive from one of our adverts, Google attaches an identifier to the link so we can tell which advert produced the enquiry. We use this to decide where to spend our advertising budget.
Both services set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Blocking them does not stop you using the site or contacting us.
Aerial footage and photography
This section matters more for us than for most businesses, so we want to be direct about it.
Our work involves flying a camera drone over and around client property. Footage shot on a job may incidentally capture neighbouring buildings, vehicles, roads and people who are not our client. We fly under FAA Part 107 rules and we do not fly to observe or record any person or property deliberately other than the subject we were hired to film.
Where incidental footage of identifiable people, vehicle number plates or a neighbouring property appears in material intended for publication, we blur it, cut it or reframe the shot before delivery. Raw footage is not published.
Finished work belongs to the client who commissioned it. We may show excerpts in our portfolio, on social media or in advertising unless the client asks us in writing not to. If you appear in footage of ours and want it removed, email us and we will take it down.
Who we share information with
We use a small number of service providers, and each of them sees only what it needs to do its job:
- Hostinger — hosts this website and therefore stores form submissions and server logs.
- Google — Analytics and Ads, as described above. We also use Gmail, so email you send us is stored there.
- WPForms — the software that runs our quote form.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Beyond that, we do not share it, and we have never sold it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after twelve months. Records relating to work we carried out are kept for seven years, because tax and insurance rules require it. Analytics data expires on Google’s own schedule, currently fourteen months.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email zdronesfl@gmail.com and we will respond within thirty days. There is no charge.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR — including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and the right to receive a copy of your data in portable form. We honour these requests from anyone who asks, regardless of where they live, because it is simpler and fairer than checking first.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, so anything you send through it is encrypted in transit. Access to form submissions and email is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
