Licensed Pilot. Local Crew.
Zdrones Florida is a drone videography and video production company built for the businesses of the Gulf Coast — not a hobbyist with a camera.
Twelve communities, one crew.
Not a Tampa outfit driving down for the day. We live here, we know the airspace around SRQ and Tampa, and we know which two hours of the day the water looks its best. Twelve communities, from Boca Grande up through Tampa Bay.

We Fly This Coastline for a Living
Zdrones Florida is FAA Part 107 licensed drone videography and video production, built on one idea: the footage we deliver doesn’t just look good — it gets seen. Every project is shot to perform on social, on your website, and in front of the people who are deciding whether to hire you.
We work comfortably on active job sites across Southwest Florida, from Boca Grande to Tampa Bay, and every project is delivered as a finished, graded film — not raw clips — with a vertical cut ready for social media.
Our reasoning behind offering this: the work that wins contracts is rarely the work you can capture from ground level. We built this business to fix that — and to turn your best work into the reach that brings the next client through the door.
Who You’re Hiring
Zdrones is owned and run by Zsolt Schmalik, FAA Part 107 licensed and fully insured. He picks up the phone, flies the drone and runs the ground camera — the person you speak to is the person who turns up on site.
Zdrones is the trading name of Apusla LLC, Sarasota, Florida.
The Boring Details That Matter
Anyone can buy a drone. Rather fewer can legally fly one over your job site.
FAA Part 107
A current Remote Pilot Certificate — the legal requirement for any commercial drone flight in the United States.
Fully Insured
Liability cover on every flight, and a certificate of insurance available for any GC or property manager who needs one on file.
4K Cinema-Grade
Professional airframes and gimbals, log-profile capture and proper colour grading — not a phone strapped to a toy.
Genuinely Local
We live here. We know the airspace around SRQ and Tampa, the beach access rules, and which two hours of the day the water looks its best.
What We Bring to a Shoot
Aerial is the headline, but a good video needs more than a drone. We arrive able to cover the whole story in one visit.
-
4K aerial platform
Stabilised gimbal, log capture, obstacle awareness and the range to cover a large site in a single battery. -
Ground camera and gimbal
Detail, texture and people — the shots that make an aerial film feel like a story rather than a survey. -
Professional audio
Lavalier and shotgun mics for interviews, because unusable sound wastes the whole shoot. -
Full post-production
Colour grade, licensed music, captions, lower thirds, your logo, and every aspect ratio you need.

Four Steps, No Guesswork
The Call
Ten minutes on the phone. We learn the project, the deadline and where the footage will actually be used.
Flight Plan
Airspace checked, authorisations filed where needed, site access confirmed and a shoot window locked with the right light.
The Shoot
Aerial and ground coverage in one visit. We stay clear of your crew and off your critical path.
Delivery
Graded edit, vertical social cut and stills — typically within 72 hours, with two rounds of revisions included.
Footage You Will Actually Use
Plenty of drone footage gets shot, admired once and never opened again. We would rather deliver something that ends up on your homepage, in your bid deck and at the top of your feed — and stays there.
